The issue here is not one of political correctness; Israel is fighting for it’s very existence. Nothing Israel can do would satisfy the demands of Islam -- it is a waste of time continuing the farce of peace plans and the signing of bad-faith agreements. The argument that expounds “Israel’s disproportionate response” is nothing but deceptive, non-reality based, bullshit; that crap may sell in the US, but thankfully not in Israel.

Delaying an inevitable confrontation with Islam would work to the advantage of Islam. Only an idiot would assume that islam, on it’s koran-directed quest for world-religious domination, would hesitate to destroy Israel and the US if they had the capability. Most folks agree islamists are rapidly moving toward their goal of serious WMD’s; the West can no longer afford to ignore that threat nor rely on any non-verifiable agreements with islamist liars.

Since a confrontation with militant Islam is inevitable, I would bet, that when Hezbollah or any terrorist group in Gaza or Lebanon, opts to use any WMD, not necessarily nuclear, you would not want to be holding real-estate futures in Syria. On that note Iranian moderates would be well advised to shovel out their own pig sty while they still can.
