They could also nuke Lebanon -- do you expect the world to applaud Israel for this restraint? No, the world is watching and Israel once again has managed to do the impossible -- come under attack from a bunch of slimeball thugs lobbing rockets at their homes and then respond in a manner that shows them to be equally uncivilized, just better armed. It is tragic, and Israel will never enjoy widespread support as a result. Without widespread support, Israel will never know peace. It is truly tragic for all concerned.
