Are we the only people who actually understand how much these announcements of the last two days can positively impact the company? Specially note this language from today's press release:
"The cooperation agreement also includes the integration of the Control-SA Agent with the Oracle Application ERP Solution (Oracle Manufacturing, Oracle Financial, Oracle H.R., etc.). This integration appears to be a high-priority demand by customers of both Oracle and EagleEye Control Software."
That last sentence, "This integration appears to be a high-priority demand by customers of BOTH(!!) Oracle and EagleEye Control Software.", should be of special note. This means that the product New D will produce is ALREADY in demand by current Oracle customers. That sounds big to me. Oracle is monsterous! Something is not in "high-priority" unless a significant number of customers want it. Given the Tandem and BMC related press releases yesterday, and this one today, I'd love to have someone tell me how the stock price is actually DOWN 1/2 point from Monday (at this writing). So yesterday New D announces they picked up 450 major new Tandem customers, ink an alliance with BMC, and today announce an alliance with Oracle, with seemingly pent up demand for the EagleEye software, and the stock falls. Let me tell ya, a year or so from now, this new business will be bringing in revenues hand over fist. If this doesn't get Oppenheimer off their butts and put out a "strong buy" rating, what will? It is trading with a trailing P/E under 30, and has recently announced, besides the last two days, that they are the big central piece of Memco's single signon solution (Oppenheimer put a "strong buy" rating on Memco in May), and the big testing piece of Sapien's total Y2K solution. What in the world does the market want? I guess it will take something as trite as an earnings number to wake people up. But, to those reading: Guess what folks, earnings are OLD news! The stuff they are doing now, the strategic alliances, and buying up the Tandem line from ENlighten, are the future. THAT is were big stock gains are found, in future performance. People should re-read the Gartner Group blessings, especially the GLOWING feature article about New D in the 8/27 issue of Investor's Business Daily. And, fyi, today's press release is also showing up under Oracle news, so a lot more people are sitting out there right now, scratching their heads, and starting to take a look at New D. That is, of course, unless Oracle investors pay no attention to their company news...which I doubt. |
