So much depends on education going forward....what if a line was drawn in the sand that did not allow any future embryos created through in vitro to be used for stem cell research, then the parents (donors) are approached confidentially on a one time basis to donate their otherwise to be destroyed embryos to such research. This would probably provide a source of new lines for years to come, after which the entire issue could be revisited.

Heck, the private side can do much of this now...why not let the federal government be involved...and maybe bring some rules and oversight to the entire process.

Adoption is a wonderful and fulfilling experience. Glad to see you and I have that in common at the very least (VBG)
