Morning thoughts.

1. Hizbolla may or may not have acted on its own, but there is no doubt what israeli is fighting is the off country arm of irans rev guards. The good news is that this stalemate that has developed between israel and hizbolla may generate some mutual respect that ultimatlely will allow a "peace of the brave" if Iran and the US can settle their macro issues about nukes and create a grand reconciliation between radical shiaa islam and the west. Sounds like a long shot, i know but the current US/Israeli policy of an alliance between us, israel and the FAS (failed arab states) is an illusion for as long as al quada exists and democracy is not permitted because of the fear of hamas style results. When i put on my imagination glasses, i can more easily see a deal with the shia that neutralizes the shiaa crescent extending from iran thru iraq, syria, gulf states and lebanon. Then both the west and shiaa can concentrate on al quaeda and then on making FAS somehow successful.
