Hizballah (Hizb Allah, the "Party of God") would have to subordinate themselves to temporal authority, not all of whom would be pure Shia Islamists.

I understand why they don't join the Lebanese army. What I was reacting to was the squirrelly logic in his rationalizations/explanations. I assume he said that with a straight face. I wonder about his purpose in offering such garbage.
