Imo war with Iran is impossible because it would destroy our military, and there are thousands of officers who have a vested interest in NOT destroying our military. It is in a pretty bad way as things stand. While I am not predicting some kind of coup, I think the willingness of the military to subject itself to civilian control will find its limit when civilian control threatens to destroy our military. Attempts to cajol us into a war with Iran whould be "fragged" from within. We already have seen a lot of retired military speaking out against the administration. We are stretched way too thin to embark on any more excellent adventures for a long time to come.
