Has the UN ever solved any problems between warring parties?

Not if the warring parties are not willing to come to a reasonable solution for both sides. In the current situation, you have the Israelis believing that they have a right to be in the ME and you have the Arabs saying they do not have the right. Neither side wants to back down and the Israelis have an edge thanks to the US. Not a very good situation......so what's the solution? A huge mistake was allowing the Israelis to set up Israel in the ME. Now the current generation is paying for that mistake.

The UN is an org. of human nations; not a god. How does anyone resolve the differences between these two parties? I suspect one of the two parties has to be eliminated from the equation to stop the problem.
