Knighty, some of what you say is true. the publicans want to pretend to be "moral" to their base while they rape this country for all it is worth. having said that, i believe it was ann rynd (sp?) that said the government wants to make it so everyone into a criminal in one way or another, so as to be able to harass and arrest anyone at any time they deem fit. absurd laws like this seem to fit that bill nicely. they pass it, but don't enforce it. that is, until you say something nasty about them or otherwise make them mad. then they knock on your door. you know, after collecting all the bribe money from the hookers.
