If you can't negotiate with extremists, you take away their platform. People who are enraged and have nothing to lose because their homes have been destroyed or loved ones killed will strap bombs on their backs or confront an overwhelmingly superior military force like Israel. People who are somewhat angry, but have hope in their lives that they can have some space and freedom and can live a normal life are not likely to do such things and are less likely to seek refuge in extremist religion.

Very Logical. Now try to sell it to an Israeli whose home was hit by a missile or whose child was blown up by an arab child with a bomb strapped to his chest. Imagine trying to win an election on a platform of Palestinian Immigration and giving up land to Palestine.

And you are right the Gaza strip was a start, but the attacks went up not down. Think about that if Israel gives up any land, there are more attacks. This is why is is essential for the Palestinians to look at what they are doing. If Israel gives up any land Palestinians attack them, so that the solution is to take land away. Then there are fewer attacks.
