It appears that the last influence Mad Cow McCain might have had in the Republican party disappeared with his "gang of 14" trick. Perhaps it was all arranged by Karl Rove to prevent the Mad Cow from haunting the party after Bush's retirement.

Keeping the Mad Cow out of all Republican presidential politics in the future is a legitimate public service...
