Exxon can manipulate its numbers easily. A mega conglomerate like Exxon with operations all over the world only reports what they want to report in the US. If they know excessive profit margins look bad to regulators and the angry public their accountants will fool with the numbers and shazam! make their profit margins look minor.

It's all smoke and mirrors BS and you know it. Likely, the expenses they claim constitute money paid back to themselves, not to mention 398 million to their outgoing CEO. And who knows how many billions stashed in offshore accounts?
