I wouldn't agree that "Americans think Democrats stand for nothing," I think in 2004, John Kerry was a poor choice because he is unreliable and inconsistent, changing his position based on expedience.

One would certainly not say the same about all Democrats -- it's a weakness of politicians in general but many have stronger principles than Kerry seems to have.

I posted the article, despite the fact that it's rather rude, because it was a liberal criticizing his fellow liberals.
