AMD management's target is 1/3 marketshare by the end of 2008. INTC couldn't stop AMD Revshare gains in Q2 even when it was giving away P4's. P4's comprise at least 50% of INTC's output at the end of 2006 if INTC can overcome CMW production hurdles. Nothing in the foregoing model suggests to me that INTC is likely to succeed in stemming market erosion in Q3 and/or Q4...no matter the performance traits of CMW. Just no point getting too worked up about 2007 just yet as uncertainty remains too great. Look for AMD to break 20% Revshare in Q3 or Q4, up from its current 18.11%.
