Intel President and CEO Paul Otellini on Thursday pegged the Core 2 Duo as the fastest ramping processor in the chip maker's history. Speaking at a launch event for the chip at the company's Santa Clara, Calif., headquarters, Otellini said when the Pentium processor launched years ago it took one year to ship 1 million units. "We will ship 1 million processors in a little less than 10 weeks," he said. eetimes.com
