I imagine married pedophiles also seek out children in organizations like the scouts. Just because a man is a pedophile, doesn't mean he didn't marry. It's probably likely he is married. And since lots of fathers are preying on their own children too...well...

I wouldn't trust anyone without knowing them. Would I be likely to sense a pedophile? I don't know. I honestly don't know how well they hide. I'd assume, though, that since fathers are more likely to abuse their own children, because they are available, that someone with their own child is likely to leave my child alone. After all, fathers can threaten their own children better- having them in their own control. That's very sad for the abused child, but good for mine.
