When you tag all people who question the wisdom of our current course as unified I feel you fail to understand fully. There are some who consider themselves strongly American who have vastly different agendas than you and I. This does not make them less American than us, it makes them at odds with the majority of the population.

I have to applaud the leaders of the two nations who have moral clarity and the convictions to demonstrate them. Sometimes in the history of the world people like these two commit to sacrifices to their nations for the good of the whole world regardless of the distribution of the benefits. Democrats still admire FDR and JFK for these qualities and yet partisans among them can criticize GWB for the same qualities.

Partisan democrats of current times will likely be recorded in history as placing short term political advantage over the interests of the nation. They are making the stat of a new liberal party which rejects the partisanship of their spokespersons. People like Cynthia McKinney, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and William Jefferson are so corrupt that they lead followers into oblivion.

"They spelled out the dangers of Islamic extremists to the entire world, and the need stop Hezbollah."

Moralistic leadership puts the interests of civilization above their own short term political interests! The evil that has invaded the garden of Eden must be purged. "Fundamentalist muslims" are closer to pure evil than has been seen since the Nazis were defeated.

"America and Britain have such clear-thinking, strong, ethical leaders!"

You could not be more correct.

“If Democrats had been in charge, during these dangerous times, the U.S. economy would have crashed and American cities would probably be in flames."

This is also very true.
