especially when you can read the charts. The problem is everybody knows the price of gas, and is hates the oil companies. No Pol can directly defend them. Hell, the Oil companies themselves don't have the guts to defend themselves. The best way I know to put it is that they own a commodity that goes up and down in price with supply/demand. If you own a stock that suddenly jumps way up, nobody expects you to sell it for less than market price. But they think the oil companies should.
