I doubt what is said in a pissing fight matters to SI Dave. I am sure he is too busy to read the lengthy posts here. The same person, or at least evidence strongly suggests, loved to construct fantasy personas on Suite101 to lie about his success following Brinker. He'd get quite detailed in what he'd share but eventually the lies would get too hard to remember and he'd contradict himself.

The very funniest fake ID he made on 101 was some gardener, exactly my age, living in Monterey CA who retired following Brinker's advice. I think he was trying to make a case that he had a better life following Brinker than I had following my own advice. He kept making "Queen-like mistakes" such as not knowing how much it costs to live in the better parts of CA so his retirement income could not pay for a retirement. To patch up his story... he had to admit that he didn't regularly play at Pebble Beach as a member but on the free days they let families of the help play... that his wife worked to pay the bills and get medical insurance, etc. and he made extra money by leading tours to Asia and other exotic land. When you added up all the elaborate stories, he was a poorly paid tour guide who relied on his wife for the majority of his income, not some rich retired guy playing golf at Pebble Beach as he first told us. Stewbonz was his name! None of his fake persona's was better until Queen came along.

BTW, are you aware that in the last 10 years or so there are all sorts of computer games that let people take on different personalities? It is quite popular with many, especially women I am told. Many of the fake names were quite effeminate despite the male first name... so I've wondered if they were female from the start.... or a male who thinks more like a female.
