We should keep in mind that much of the weaponry for the Israeli government’s bombing campaign has been provided by the U.S. taxpayer, compliments of the U.S. foreign aid.

Britain does darn well in supplying weaponry to Israel. The difference is that in a recent UK poll, ~60% of the British population wants Tony to stop selling weaponry to Israel.

For more evidence of the perversity and moral degeneracy of U.S. foreign policy

You want perversity. When the US State Department started doing it's annual report on human trafficking, Israel popped up as a tier 3 country. The worst category. The legislation that Congress passed allowed for the US to use trade sanctions against tier 3 countries. Israel got a waiver. Since then, Israel moved up to tier 2 and in the 2006 report slipped down to the Tier 2 watch list.

Not to ignore the Arab world. Saudi Arabia, IMO, is the worst country in the mid-east when it comes to human rights and once again in the 2006 report on human trafficking, Saudi Arabia gets a Tier 3 rating and once again, Saudi Arabia gets a Presidential waiver from trade sanctions.

Moral clarity? Perverse and moral degeneracy of US foreign policy.
