Redstone is chairman of the Board according to Viacom.com. Has been the controlling shareholder for decades. The retirement of Redstone and guys like him from executive positions like CEO is not relevant - Redstone is the power that runs Viacom and will be as long as he lives.

I did not call the freepers "politically incorrect". My objection to their labeling of anyone as liberal has more to do with the fact that most of them would label as liberal anyone to the left of Attila the Hun.

Freerepublic didn't "label" anyone liberal. Articles posted on Freerepublic identified:

- AOL Time Warner as being a big contributor to Howard Dean a couple years ago. That's not the opinion of Freerepublic, just a fact.

- Viacom's chairman and a bunch of the directors as being contributors to Democrats and former appointees in Democrat administrations. Also not opinion, just facts.

If you like I can post an article quoting Redstone calling himself a liberal Democrat.
