There's no need for Santorum to "attempt" to divide Americans. It's already a fait accompli. On one side are traditional Americans who want stronger border security and enforcement of immigration laws. On the opposing side are those factions, both foreign & domestic, who financially gain from the illegal immigrants (and could not care less whether or not the USA remains an independent nation)....never the twain shall meet.

These divisions fall somewhat along party lines but not entirely. There are huge numbers of Republicans who intend to vote aginst their Repub incumbent in Nov due the lack of federal enforcement of immigration laws. There's also a large faction who are puzzled by their Dem Senate incumbents, and wonder why those elected officials voted overwhelmingly for a bill that grants amnesty to illegal aliens, while ignoring their constituents views on the subject.

Sen Santorum voted against the recent Senate bill and advocates stronger border security and the enforcement of immigration laws, while his opponent has stated he would have voted for the senate's amnesty bill. Santorum has been gaining ground in recent wks, and earned the scorn of an al Jazeera columnist when the senator stated the current Islamo-Fascists are the equivalent of Hitler's threat to world freedom.

This senate race exemplifies the current national struggle between Americans who are determined to remain a sovereign nation, and those who are willing to compromise the USA's strength & independence for their own financial gain.
