AMD's stock price keeps going down, street prices for K6-233 keep going up (up another 4% today at thechipmerchant). Street prices are up at least a little at all distributors. The chip merchant's price is up 13% in the last 1.5 weeks. This was a leading indicator of a yield problem the last time it happened. I would say the chances of AMD not making their 1M unit number for Q3 are significant based on stock movement and street price. Anyone else have data on supply? One would think that if anything AMD would be stuffing the channel this late in the quarter, but the opposite is happening. Distributors would be happy to take more product. Prices for lower speed grade chips have held steady. Constructive comments anyone?
