Astute and thought provoking posts,Jack. I am a little more optimistic than you but it is difficult to argue with your statements.

The other problem with the big open pits is credibility. The banks would be afraid to lend to neophytes, and imagine the difficulties to try to create an experienced team when there is a world wide shortage of engineers, geologists and miners in general.

I look at Idaho General and Blue Pearl having the most experienced managements, but there would still be ahuge problem in building the organizations required.
