<Hezbollah does not control Lebanon. They don't control the government or the people.>

Heres the President of Lebanon:

'Hezbollah Freed Our Country'

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud, 70, tells DER SPIEGEL about how the current conflict is affecting his country, the role of the Lebanese army and his relationship with Shiite militia.

SPIEGEL: Please explain your relationship to Hezbollah. What do you think of Hassan Nasrallah?

Lahoud: Hezbollah enjoys utmost prestige in Lebanon, because it freed our country. All over the Arab world you hear: Hezbollah maintains Arab honor, and even though it (Hezbollah) is very small, it stands up to Israel. And of course Nasrallah has my respect.

<Only a complete idiot could read this crap and post it as justification for the bombing of innocents>

It wasnt posted to justify anything. Israel, as is Lebanon, is a sovreign state. The response to the murder of 8 Isrqeli soldiers and the kidnapping of another was up to their goverment as was the decision to elect and allow Hezbollah
to run the show.

The comparison was to show a forcefull response which crushes the enemy so they will not attack again was chosen by us and the at this time, the Israeli's who are sick of dealing with lunatics who enjoy killing innocent civilians.

How many civilians were killed in WW 2 ?
