J. Chris..I exemplify why Americans don't want to vote? J. Chris...YOU exemplify why MY vote doesn't matter much. I voted straight Democratic in a state that went heavily for Bush. But people on the FAR left demand that their candidates take such skewed positions to get a nomination that they just get creamed in a state like mine. Our congressional candidate had a shot in this district if he had been a little more centrist, but the people here that vote in primaries are like people that vote in most primaries, LOOKING FOR REAL OPPOSITION. Well...they got REAL opposition and they didn't get a congressman and that's why the DEMS can't win anything. These Midterms should be a SLAM DUNK for the Democrats, but people are still wondering if they can pick up the lousy 15 seats they need to take over the house. There's a quote that goes something like, "The trouble is not within the stars, but within ourselves."
