I remember a lot of derision. Before the war they called us traitors. When Saddam's statue came down they said "I told you so". They celebrated the purple fingers and called us anti-American. The celebrated the birth of democracy in Lebanon and said Bush was making democracy flower in the Middle East.

Now they are cheering as Lebanon gets reduced to rubble, and calling for the same in Syria and Iran. I imagine they would cheer if we did the same to London and Paris.

Well which of the two diametrically opposite US approaches do you support?

policy 1:
Iraq = US directly involved trying to solve things, or

policy 2:
Israel-Lebanon = US virtually not at all involved, let the involved parties work things out themselves.

It's hard to be opposed to both approaches since they are diametrically opposite approaches, unless your goal is to be anti-US and then just oppose whatever the US does.
