Hmmm, doing some catching up on my reading, and getting disappointed with you.....

Iraq isn't for anybody. They are carefully not permitting a single Iraqi Jew to return, and the US has been quiet about it.

Guess we can't just take your word on things. I'm reading the European WSJ from last Thursday, and pg13 discusses the issue of not allowing Iraqi Jews to return as citizens (it says Israel's defence minister was born in Iraq). There was some discussion of excluding Jews from the right to return to Iraq when drafting the interim constitution, but the conclusion reads as follows:

"The US-led coalition argued that the citizenship issue could not be addressed on a discriminatory basis. This view ultimately prevailed..."

Uhmmmmm, so were you lying when you wrote your statement above, or you just made it up, or is the WSJ wrong?

Also, it again points out the hypocrisy of US policy toward Iraq and Israel. The US says Iraq should not have a discriminatory policy regarding citizenship (a very American values policy), whereas Israel's immigration/citizenship policy is completely discriminatory as it is based on the applicant's mother's Jewishness, or lack thereof (a completely unAmerican policy).
