AFAIK, no other name was brought to the attention of the moderated group. Which is not to say that no such name was ever proposed. I can't comment on that. Given what I know of Ted, I would suspect that if such a name was proposed, it was tongue in cheek. But I don't know it for a fact. The reason this thread exists is because I don't believe speech should be 'moderated'. That's why I stayed with this thread when everyone else migrated to the new thread. Given that philosophy, how likely was I to rename this thread the Ted's Thread? That's something jimbo would do, not me......he would have called this thread the jimbo thread long ago. And contrary to his comments jimbo rarely set foot on this thread after the transition. He doesn't have the cojones to swim upstream, or to take a stand on any issue with the notable exception of illegal immigration.
