Anger and denouncing reactions over the Israeli constant onslaught and massacres in Lebanon continue

CAPITALS, (SANA)





A huge mass of Lebanese displaced families and Syrian citizens representing various social, popular, Arab youth and students activities on Sunday staged a sit-in in front of the UN headquarters in Damascus to condemn the Israeli savage onslaught on Lebanon and Qana's second massacre that killed at least 55 people mostly women and children.





The protesters waved Syrian national flags, photos of President Bashar al-Assad and Hizbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrullah and placards that denounce the international collusion regarding this aggression.

The demonstrators shouted anti-Israeli slogans and carried banners denouncing Israel’s ugly terrorist practices and killing innocent women and children in addition to destroying infrastructure in Lebanon and Palestine.

They saluted steadfastness of the Lebanese and Palestinian national resistance, hailing Syria's supportive stances to Lebanon and her steadfastness in the face of the plots hatched against the Arab nation.

In Cairo, Arab League Secretary General Amre Moussa condemned the Israeli brutal attacks on the Lebanese that was crowned by Qana' s second horrible massacre .

" Such aggressions pose a clear evidence on Israel's hostility, intransigence and ignorance of the international law and legitimacy resolutions." Mossa said in a statement.

He urged the UN Security Council to shoulder responsibility, pressure Israel to stop its constant aggression on Lebanon and to probe Qana and other Israeli massacres against the defenseless women, children and old aged.

For its part, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command- stressed significance of bringing the resistance ranks in Lebanon and Palestine together because the aim is one and any separation would serve the enemy in this critical stage.

" Triumph of the resistance in Lebanon means an inevitable victory of the resistance in Palestine and the resistant method in our region as well of the Arab future as whole." The PFLP said in a statement.

Arab Journalists Union, for its part, urged the international community and the world consciousness to stop these Israeli crazy attacks on Lebanon, asking the Arab governments to end its silence and incapability and take brave practical steps to help stopping this massacres.

In Tehran, Iran strongly denounced the dangerous Zionist escalation in Lebanon, the U.S. unwavering support and London's wrong policy that pours oil on the war fire .

Speaking to domestic and foreign reporters at his weekly press conference, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi condemned crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Lebanon considering it as clear proof on failure of the Zionist entity.

For his part, Iran's Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki blasted the UN Security Council's silence and double criterion towards the ongoing ugly violations in Lebanon.

" The UN Security Council to sit tight watching the killing works and crimes against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, paves the way to continuation of the Israeli crimes." The Minister said when he received Denmark's ambassador to Iran.

In Jeddah, Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) depicted the hideous massacre in Qana as "a war crime'' demanding the international community to move for an immediate cease-fire.

Secretary General of OIC Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said:" this hideous crime shows that Israel pays no heed to the international law and Geneva Fourth Convention that deals with the protection of civilians in the time of war."
