I have a Carolyn story. Another Carolyn. When I was in HS there was a girl one year older than I that was drop dead pretty, not cute but stunning. Few years passed and after my army time and divorce we met. She had been married to a Chicago mobster and divorced. Then she became the eye candy for the CEO of State Farm, you knew how important he was because SHE walked you into his office. People called her Tiger Lady. Like you she was way outta my league. One day I was doing inventory work, you do that when you own a retail store, and two SF trainees, got the new degrees and jobs came in. Right in front of me they told each other how important they were and how I was a nobody, then they mentioned Tiger Lady. That night Tiger Lady was my date to the "in" dance club and the idiots were there. That was back in the days of the dance called "bump" where you bumped your partner. Kind of sexy. Rubbing bodies and such. We danced every dance. Next day the idiots came in and wanted an introduction. I told them she was my wife. They bought it and were so dumb they must have been democrats.
