I guess you just can think can you? Israel hasn't been in Lebanon since 2000. So how could they have thousands of Lebanese prisoners in their jails unless they were captured while in Israel or Palestine? The Israelis hold an currently undisclosed (according to my research) number of Lebanese prisoners from years prior to 2000, but it likely does not exceed more than a half-dozen. This is the best link I've been able to find about Hizbullah's actual demand for the particular prisoners Hizbullah wants released. There are only 3 Lebanese prisoners that Hizbullah apparently desires (though they have not made any particular demands outside of "thousands of prisoners). npr.org (that is if you can take the time to listen). Furthermore, Israel apparently "cleared the slate" to a large degree in an earlier prisoner exchange where they released 429 Palestinian and 59 Lebanese prisoners were exchanged. danielpipes.org Thus, Hizbullah decided to launch a war over an ACKNOWLEDGED prisoner, who was ACTUALLY involved in a terrorist act against Israel as far back as 1979. The thousands of prisoners they speak of are PALESTINANS. And thus, Hizbullah has NO BUSINESS involving the entire nation of Lebanon in a way to win the release of prisoners from A DIFFERENT "country" (Palestine). Hawk
