It would be much easier if AQ was the Wehrmacht. They wore uniforms and gathered together in recognizable units we could attack.

If you want to "wipe out" Hezbollah, how many of their fervent but unarmed supporters have to be killed in the process? How about Hamas? How about pro-government Iranians? How about pro-Islamic-radicals Egyptians and Saudis?

I hope we do eventually decide it is unnecessary since I know it is both insane and impossible.
