For a long while, US was seen as more even handed between Israel's protection vs. Palestinians even though it was mostly perception but nonetheless there was some truth to it even though it was mostly talk.. But Senior Bush paid a price in loss support from Israel Lobby for that even handedness if you look into the issue.. If I remember, he got tough with aid when Israel started expanding on West Bank dramatically.. Under this admin, it has tilted completely pro Israel.. not even any pretense other then the usual platitude that is trotted out now and again..
