Are you really such a moron that you don't know the answer to that?? Israel is viewed by its neighbors as being land usurpers. It needs to correct that image. It continues to send that message as long as it uses occupied territory for anything other than defensive barriers. I don't have a bone in this fight, but even I looking at the Israel use of land say: They are intent on conquest. I'm pretty sure that most Arabs come to that conclusion quicker than I do. So that is the problem. What I am too dense to understand is how the current Israeli response in S. Lebanon has any hope of making things better. Why is it going to work here, when similar approaches in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Gaza have not yielded lasting solutions? The latest disaster is typical of why it will not work. I'm 100% sure that Israel did not set out to kill 50 civilians. But their policy and method pretty much ensure that such will happen, and when it does, how will it help achieve the peace that Israel desires? I don't get it. Could you explain why you think things might work this time, and how Israel's approach is achieving this?
