OK, I'll give you that. You're probably right to some extent about recovery time. This is, after all, why jocks take anabolics in training--to reduce recovery time so they can work out more and harder.

But in the context of the Tour, these guys are so well conditioned and for so long that their bodies have already adapted to the grueling training and are able to recover much faster than the average biker. Plus, they aren't trying to build bulk. A high strength to weight ratio is what they are after. And what they all have to do is recover quickly for 21 days straight. So you're saying the guy who recovers best is maybe the one with the highest testosterone level. If that were true, how come all the previous winners have managed to stay within normal limits?
