Bush-Cheney have made terrorists stronger. They made some huge mistakes, the most serious being lying to the still shaken post-911 American people that Saddam, not Al Qaida, was the #1 problem, then committing our entire military to a new "Vietnam in the desert" without even planning what to do once we got there. It was a collosal textbook error, has made the Middle East and terrorism in general much more of a threat and has really socked it to our troops, taxpayers, alliances and national credibility.
Really hard to fathom why Bush let Osama Bin Laden go and changed the subject to Iraq, but the Bushes and Saudis are so tight it's probably got something to do with "family" peer pressure. That is a huge conflict of interest. Also a huge conflict of interest is Bush-Cheney's ties to big oil and our addiction to Arab oil. That needs to end.
Also, if you think Bush is tough on terrorism, just read the 8-6-01 warning, which he totally ignored. That warning all but predicted 9-11. So the myth is not true. Bush is actually good for terrorism. Kerry meanwhile, has a much smarter way of dealing with terrorists, by 1) killing them 2) Using real diplomacy to solve the underlying differences. |
