I would like to see the map color coded by military spending. But frankly, most of Israel's border is with "friends", Jordan and Egypt.
Here is a paranoid fantasy...
This was all planned. Israel is going to attack Syria from the west, from Lebanon. While the US attacks Syria from the east, Iraq. Maybe they can get Turkey to cooperate, as a NATO member, from the north.
Now you've got Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon all as "friends" if you can keep them in line. And maybe??? you could do that if you stress the threat from a fundamentalist Iran becoming the ME superpower, and convince them that they will rule the ME when Iran is defeated.
So then you have almost the entire western ME, and Afghanistan and Pakistan on the east, ready to move in and crush Iran. Yemen, Oman and and Sudan are just sweeping up the crumbs.
I wouldn't put any crazy plan past the Neo's.
But that was just this evenings paranoid fantasy. I'm sure the ultimate Neo plan is even more diabolical (and ill fated). |
