Clinton left office with 65% approvals and a projected 5-6 trillion in budget surpluses. That bests Reagan who left office with 64% approvals and a huge deficit which funded his economic growth. Reagan also dismantled the huge Carter clean energy and efficiency program which would have us off Arab oil by now, and he let the S+L debacle and Iran-Contra scandals happen. Clinton had no such failures, just a personal peccadillo which never should have been investigated in the first place. Clinton also created a whopping 22 million new jobs and more millionaires than anytime in history. Clinton's economy was good for everyone, Reagan and Bush's onjly for the top 1% or so.
