You are right in that Isreal can't stop the missles. That buffer zone will be a no mans land. Anyone caught in there will be stopped/shot. The cross border raids will end because the militants know they will die before they can even get to the border.

I don't think this war is just or unjust. It's about survival. Would be just as happy to see all fanatics of all religions kill each other. Then the rest of us could live in peace.

You say that a stupid war is hell. Is there such a thing as a smart war? war is hell...PERIOD. A lot of innocent people die in wars, whether they be for "good" reasons or not.

I don't believe we have the right to tell either side how to live. We did that in Iraq and look at that mess! If the Isrealis and the Lebanonese want to kidnap and kill each other, and it's clear that they do, more power to them. Hopefully all the violent ones on both sides will be gone when this is all over.

Same goes for the Shia's and Sunni's in Iraq. We have no business being there forcing them to live in a particular way. If they want to kill each other they are going to find a way.
