My Texas oil executive conversation is very meaningful. It's straight from the horse's mouth. And anyone hanging around Texas has heard these admissions time after time. I first got wind of it all way back in 2000 when Houston cocktail party chatter got passed along to me, oil executives wives boasting about how they are "socking it to California". My parents live in Houston and socialize with oil industry types.
