Quit lying about the DNC. Lieberman is being forced out for a reason. He is guilty of what you claim. But very few others are. Kerry, for instance, made it very clear that he would not support an invasion unless it was absolutely necessary as a last resort and only then if we were fully prepared with a Gulf War style coalition and the UN helping. So under Kerry, no invasion would have happened, because the inspectors found no WMD making the whole Bush argument for invasion a sham. At the time, Kerry and others in congress were being fed doctored intel reports Cheney's people provided which made it look like Saddam was an imminent threat and still had his WMD from the early 90's. Tenet was also being arm-twisted into backing this phony intel. Don't blame those in congress or the press who were lied to. Blame the liars. And even if Saddam had had WMD, Kerry wanted to wait until we were absolutely prepared for the post-invasion period. That is a huge issue. The invasion itself was not so bad. Removing Saddam could have been a net positive. But Bushies planned so poorly that it became a huge negative, and continues to be.
