Also something to consider is DEC and the Alpha chip, in the recent months the price of an Alpha has droped significantly and now is competing with the Intal chip.Alpha is twice as fast for the same price, the draw back for the Alpha is lack of software ( I mean for the desk top market, the business side has a lot of software), but they are caching up with NT and Unix Apications.
