>>Junior gold miners poised to finally move in what is their seasonally strong period the next 10 weeks?<<

Stagflation is the best environment for Gold. But some of that good news is already reflected in the share prices of some of the miners. I remember how the Gold Stocks took quite a beating in August 1998 and in August 2000 before they rallied sharpely in September 1998 and bottomed out in October 2000. It can happen again.

September is traditionally the best month of the year to be long the Miners. But everyone knows that and there has been some front running in the last week of August to maxmizize profit.

Do you think the Miners are going to hold up here if the next leg down in the Bear Market begins in August? I have my doubts. I think a lot of people who are in trouble financially are in the Gold Miners looking for a "home run" to save themselves. I see the Miners tanking big time if the Broad Market heads significantly lower.

I'm not looking for a "home run" here, just to preserve my capital for better days ahead since I earn a real good living outside the financial services industry. If I make 10% this year, I'll be happy, and I'm more than half way there already.

Be careful, John.

These are some of the people in the Gold Miners:

When the washout comes and the Gold/XAU ratio gets over 5 again, I'll be there to scoop up some GDX.
