- Bush-Cheney and company do not support energy gouging

They don't support the sudden increase in local prices of energy in response to major local emergencies. They also don't support price-fixing, which is another issue, but is apparently what you are getting at.

- The doubling of energy prices on Bush's watch is just a "cyclical" coincidence

Never said it was just cyclical. In addition to the normal cycle there is a general trend up, because supply has not kept pace with growing demand. If you believe the peak-oil people that trend will continue. I'm not sure I agree with them but if they are correct than oil and gasoline prices should increase even more. If they are not correct you still have the fact that for years increases in demand have outpaced increases in supply, both in crude oil production, and in refined products. There are both cyclical and secular factors at play.

Big oil is not gouging us at the pump

Gouging isn't an issue.

If they are trying to price fix they are doing a lousy job of it. Considering the circumstances if they had the power to fix prices and where using it prices would probably be even higher, and there margins would be fatter, instead of being rather unexceptional.

Bush-Cheney were not tied in with Enron

Depends on what you mean by tied in. They had personal relationships with Enron execs, but you've presented no evidence that they participated in crimes that Enron has been proved guilty of (cooking the books) or been accused of (price-fixing)

Bush-Cheney do not support dismantling environmental protection

I never said they don't or won't support any dismantling of any environmental reg. What I said was that your assertion - " Bushies have done everything in their power to kill every environmental law on the books, almost without exception." - is false.
