Kerry is not responsible for the Big Dig project. He merely helped get some federal funding for it. The problems were local, at the city and state level, and probably have a lot to do with corruption. Republican governors have been running Massachusetts for a long time now, in case you hadn't noticed. They are much more responsible than Kerry or Kennedy. The senators' job is not to micro-manage local construction projects. BTW: Despite its' terrible cost and schedule overruns, the Big Dig really has transformed Boston. Once it's finished it will be wonderful thing. Just at way too high a cost. I'm sure Kerry is as pissed as anyone about those overruns. But if you want the biggest waste of money of all, look at the Iraq War. Who is responsible for that trilion dollar boondoggle?
