Peak oil, when it happens (it will eventually happen), is going to make these recent price runups seem like child's play. Peak oil means $350 oil in short order at $12 gal gasoline, all in a matter of months. Now, that is not going to be pretty, and if we had any sense we'd be preparing for this eventuality.
