I read what I wrote.
While it was tongue in cheek when written, from the level of anger in some participants on SI I am very sure some folks contemplate my demise occasionally, and not just the ones who publicly wish I could experience a 9/11 type event to teach me a lesson. I have no idea why you had such a personal response to a general remark, though. Clearly the remark upset you. Did you think it was aimed at you? I didn't have a thought in the world about you at the time I wrote it, so my suspicions, such as they might have been, had I been thinking about them, would not have alighted upon you at the time that post was written.
As for passive aggression, my post to you was meant to be aggressive- if you thought that ending was passive, clearly I was not forceful enough. It was an aggressive response to an out of the blue attack, based on a post not written to you, not mentioning you, and not even on a thread you post on. I aggressively condemn your behavior in response to it. And I say again, if you treat other people the way you treated me, I expect they too will find your behavior lacking in that sort of adult courtesy we expect from people in 3d- the kind of courtesy we extend to even those people with whom we disagree, and especially extend to people who aren't even talking to or about us.
But I suspect all these words are pointless. You will no doubt believe your attack was completely justified (talk about "see what you made me do"- look in a mirror), and I should not defend myself at all. Go figure. What a twisted place SI can be sometimes. |
