Bush declared Lebanon another front in the WOT. It is not clear just what that commits us to, but it certainly puts us on one side in the perceptions of the Arab street. If we say we support the WOT every time they think fellow Arabs are getting kicked in the butt unfairly, how do we lead the democratic transformation of the region? Who will follow us? The contradictions keep piling up.
