"I was a big baseball fan in the 60's, 70's, and early 80's, but got turned off by the excessive salaries, the strikes or threat of strikes, and the "Popeye puffed up bodies"... lol"

I began a personal boycott after they gave Bonds that huge salary to play a kid's game in 1992 I think... odd that it could turn out to be he is involved in turning even more off many years later. My only visit to the new SF Ball Park was to take my mother who asked me to go since my father didn't want to go. We got to see Barrie hit one out, so we have that, but I've not returned despite many offers for free tickets. I don't even like paying them parking or popcorn money.

I still love football and allow myself a game a week on TV. Now it seems even bike riders cheat... maybe I should just stick to windsurfing and bike riding for fun and not even bother watching any pro sports.

It is really sad to see how these big stars, Brinker hiding his QQQQ, Barry Bonds with steroids and CEO's like Jack Welch getting GE to pay for his daily living expenses while the thousands under him are expected to pay for living expenses out of salaries... all signs of sickening levels of ego.
